James is our lead singer, rhythm guitarist, and songwriter!

Originally from the desert of Southern California, James grew up listening to his grandmother's favorite country singers (Marty Robbins and Roy Rogers) and spending his summers watching VHS Westerns in the Sangre De Cristo Mountains in Colorado. James' only other music influence was from his Church Groups, listening to CCM radio until he ultimately moved to Colorado, where he was introduced to a new world of music. He gravitated towards jazz adjacent singers like Dean Martin, and the creative storytelling of Billy Joel. In 2022, a close friend of James introduced him to what would become his biggest musical and lyrical inspiration - Warren Zevon.

James began playing guitar in 2020 during the Covid lockdown, starting with bluegrass, sea shanties, and Irish folk music, which influenced much of his rhythm playing and singing style. In 2022, he began playing drums in an indie rock band called "Nosedive" where he met Larry Smith. After a year of playing in the band, he became confident enough in his vocals and songwriting to bring his songs to Nosedive band leader Magnus Downs. Unfortunately, Nosedive would breakup shortly after - inspiring the song "Don't Listen to Her."

James and Larry would stay together to eventually create ORACLE, where James would delve fully into songwriting, becoming the bands lead vocalist, front man, and rhythm player.

Fern is our main drummer and secondary vocalist and songwriter, adding some much needed grittiness to ORACLE's sound!

Born and raised in Mexico, Fern grew up hearing bands like El Tri, and was deeply drawn to the anarchy and contrarian power of rock. However the headbanging really developed one night when Fern heard a South Park clip of Ronnie James Dio singing Holy Diver. Somehow, an energy from what can only be described as a foreign nostalgia, drove him to bounce and stomp on his early teenage futon. Ever since then, that raw energy and will to fan the flame of Rock has always lived within him.

Vincent is a talented multi-instrumentalist playing primarily saxophone and other woodwinds. Inspired by the likes of John Coltrane and Charlie Parker, Vincent followed in the footsteps of the great Jazz Saxophonists before to perfect his craft and has been performing around Colorado Springs through many genres including jazz, funk, rock, pop, contemporary and r&b. Vincent brings an incredible jazz undertone to ORACLE's sound.

Paul is our audio engineer, helping to record and master our tracks, and ensure we sound killer in concert. In addition he is an extremely talented guitar player, and will sometimes lend his abilities out for records or even the occasional live performance!
